Beginning with one of AEROSMITH’s first lengthy interviews in 1973 and spanning the legendary hard rock quintet’s 35-plus years, AEROSMITH: ESSENTIAL INTERVIEWS lets “America’s Greatest Rock & Roll Band” tell its own inspirational story. From its explosive, drug and sex-steered early heyday and the propulsion of mid-70’s classics Toys In The Attic and Rocks, to its fall from grace and initial disintegration as a result of those vices, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford not only survived these experiences, but learned from them and ultimately forged one of the greatest rock comebacks ever.

Steven Tyler knows two things one is how to dress like a rock star gypsy and the other is how to wail on harmonica. Hohner couldn’t find a way to improve on the first part so the second part they took their research into refining. Play the same harmonica up to spec that Steven Tyler used on his ”Honkin’ on Bobo” tour.

‘When it comes to getting close to the rich and famous Laura Jackson is second to none.’ Sky TV ‘Laura Jackson is the queen of biographers.’ Daily Express
Steven Tyler is one of life’s natural born survivors. With an exhaustively vibrant personality, this dynamic lead singer has been one of the most distinctive figures in rock music for more than three decades. Although he was raised in a close knit, loving family, Tyler survived a tough upbringing in the Bronx. His inherent passion for performing and a talent for playing instruments propelled him into rock music as a teenager. He fronted a succession of local bands before meeting the guys with whom he would form Aerosmith in 1970. Laura Jackson reveals the stories behind Tyler’s relationships with band members and the many women in his life, his battle with Hepatitis C, and his drug-fuelled meltdown during the late ’70s and early ’80s when he was snorting pure heroin. She also explores his visits to rehab in (more…)

Few comebacks in rock and roll history have been as amazing as that of Aerosmith. Their triumphant return to the charts in the ’80s not only rekindled the band’s earlier success, but also significantly surpassed it. With their top 20 hits “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Ragdoll,” and the top 10 power ballad, “Angel,” the group proved they had even more fire left in their fight than anyone could have imagined. Leaving behind its reckless lifestyle, the band sacrificed none of their rowdy rock and roll. “Ragdoll” and “Love in an Elevator” built upon Aerosmith’s raunchy blues approach to hard rock, complete with singer Steven Tyler’s howl in the best form of his career. Big Ones includes these rockers along with the spooky Grammy-winner “Jamie’s Got a Gun,” and the slower but still hard-edged “Crazy.” Other high points of the new and improved band are reflected in “The Other Side” and the anthem “Eat the Rich.” –Steve Gdula
